Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This incident is not the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
