Brian Eno Calls On Backing to Get Palestinian Solidarity Lullaby to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the peak of the festive singles chart. The effort hopes to send support to Gaza's residents while also spotlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Possibility for Solidarity and an "Surprise Victory"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a moment to stand with Palestinians during the holidays. He noted the potential for an surprise number one.

“It would be fantastic if that came to pass, yes,” he said. “I won't be completely disappointed if it doesn't manage to, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Defiant Message of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The song was recorded in the wake of a large-scale benefit event held in September. Initially planned to be done as a live recording, the piece was omitted from the lengthy event due to time constraints.

The diverse array of artists contributing to Lullaby features a group of prominent voices from the scene. All took part in the earlier concert, which managed to collect a substantial amount for charitable causes.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was produced by a team of talented individuals. The track blends a fusion of the heritage language with new English lyrics.

The organizers behind the campaign have clarified that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a charitable pot. These proceeds will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an non-profit partner.

“There is no a specific target,” a representative explained. “We aim for the maximum achievable. Obviously, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The situation in the region was described as its widespread damage, with a overwhelming percentage of infrastructure reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is primarily raising awareness for this issue and proving the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released this Friday. Additionally, a video of the solidarity show will be made available for streaming on a popular streaming site from mid-December.
