The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete has substantial social media presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent supporters when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and has position 461 in AJGA standings.
But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
Kai will face several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation exposes the sport to wider groups, especially among the next generation.
Kai boasts a massive following and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
