Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has invited the relatives of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the White House.

He noted that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Memorials across West Virginia have been held in their remembrance.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” the president addressed the press. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Attendees gathered over the past few days at a local school in the state to pay respects to Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s government program to assist policing efforts in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the kind of student that educators hoped for. She carried herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a positive energy that inspired those around her,” Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s former high school, told the Associated Press. “She was caring, considerate and always willing to support those in need.”

Funeral details for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.

The incident prompted the administration to pause refugee claims and cease granting visas to holders of travel documents.

The airman, a resident of Martinsburg, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.
